Italy, 1636. Noblewoman Porzia Maria Colonna leaves the cloister she was raised in to reach her betrothed, but an ambush leaves her alone with coachman Bartolo. While venturing into dangerous and unknown lands, the two also discover what's really inside their hearts, growing increasingly close despite opposite backgrounds.
