I have a painting of Ganthorpe Hall and the Howardian hills. I am pretty sure it was painted by yourfather. It was sold to us about 1975 by Austin Hayes gallery in the Shambles in York. Althugh the painting is not signed nor labelled in  any way. I only know its supposed name as that is how it was described hen we bought it.
  As my wife is now in a care home I am disposing of a few pictures and pieces of furniture. Because it has no provenance it probably is not worth a great amount.

It is quite large-about 4ftx3ft. Would it be of any interest to you or any of your family.
