Dear Louise , I met you very briefly at the O Higgins family gathering in the Green Room of the Mansion House ,Dublin in May 2013. I had a relatively long conversation with your mother and her late husband . Mostly about hotel business where I've spent my working life . Louise after numerous rewrites my WW 1 novel For a Dream is finally in print on kdpamazomn . I'm unsure if the softcopy edition is available in the U.K as yeat the kindle edition is . I'm unsure of the current cost .Here in Canada the kindle edition is $10.00 Can . The novel is based on the life of Uncle Michael Higgins who actually died in the front lines on the 31st March 1917 .,Since I was writing a novel and had access to the history of my uncle's regimental history I've extended the novel to the 12th April 2017 . On that day the Leinster Rifles as part ot the 24 Division of the U.K army took Le Bois en Hache the North End of Vimy Ridge .Corporal John Cunningham of Thurlas won a V.C . in that engagement . Here in Canada the Battle of Vimy Ridge is seen as Canada's coming of age as a nation. Louise please give my love to your mother .I know shey now lives in Renelagh . My novel has sold relatively well ,Louise , It really sold within immediately family. The trouble with self-publishing is that one has to do promotions and readings oneselvef.I'm about to turn eighty five and feel thepassage of time.My sister Philippa died in October 2024 ,I miss her
