A few things didn't seem right, Then when he asked me for my phone and email I told him no and he said, "I just want to send you a text." I knew something was wrong. I told him No. My daughter had warned me. It was nice to read your posts. Now I am sure. Thank you all.

Oh whoever he is he's a charmer for sure almost had me going there for a while . He never asked me for anything but my love I told him I had just lost my husband and no one could ever fill his shoes . He said his wife was killed in an accident 5 yrs ago .look I'm an 86 yr old lady what could he possibly want from me . He sent me flowers all the time and a picture of his son then I looked up the name and this good lookin guy came up as a hacker some other guy was useing his identity needless to say I ended what looked to be a 4 month beautiful relationship. That was the middle of July 2021 Now this morning I got another message from a William garrett but I knew right away it was not the same person so I blocked him Beware there is more than one scammer useing his identity

A friend of mine is being taken by him right now and wants to send him $800.00. Her daughter had to take charge of her checking account.

He asked me to send him a friend request 11/6/21 because every request he sent me would not go thru. so I replied that he and my husband who was a LT. at the same time he was served together and were real good friends and if he wanted me to send a friend request he would be able to tell me where they served together and in what company, so far no reply

He scammed me and I told him that I had been scammed before and that no one was getting any money from me that I did not know. He said that he was in Syria, that the US Army called him to head up a group. I then said that I had checked him out on the internet and he was not who he said he was. He told me that he was going to report me to th e UN. LOL

This clown contacted my wife on FB and is trying to talk all sweet to her, she almost fell for it until she gave me this idiots FB name. I looked him up and it came back as the LT. General and all of his personal information. He tried to throw the sons name as Evan but in reality Lt General Garrett's son is named Micheal and is a 1st LT in the United States Army just like his dad but the dumbass on the internet Hangouts chat line is to stupid to even get that information right and claims that he is an only child, wrong - the Lt Generals sisters name is Elena and the General was born in New Jersey in 1953 and is currently Retired...... its sad that idiots have to try and take other people's identity in order to try and make themselves feel important

Liked a post I had, then started messaging me. Told me he was in Syria. I googled him while he was chatting. Immediately blocked him. OVER 50 blocks! Geez! Can you imagine 50 FB pages with his picture and name? Why the hell does FB allow that? Poor guy.

I was scammed by the make believe William Garrett. I had not seen all these listings until now.. Believe me he is good and somehow has all the documents to prove who he is,but the stories are almost all the same. Please be careful. He is a fake.

a William B Garrett reached out to me ,do know if he was real of what was being said we texted each other for a good while he asked me to reach out to a Kevin Jones this guy to me it would cost 3000.to sent the belongings and when I did not have that kind of money ,the Mr. Garrett guy asked me to get a loan ,when I said I couldn't ,I was being begged to get some kind of money some how to help him ,when I asked for rank I D and for his superior's rank I D also he told me he could not do any such thing it was against military standards, then I told him that I have? Had family and friends in the military and all military people can come and go when ever and their belongs /portfolio's free and what not and told the other person the truth of not being his wife then Mr. Garette got angry and said bye. We had even sent photo's of each to each other through our texting, I still have the text messages.

General William Garrett. Has been chatting to me for almost a year and has robbed me of almost $15,000. I didn’t know love bomb scams existed until I joined Scam haters United . There is over 50 of them on Facebook. It’s disgusting they went through All my friends lists and approached them they even approached my 17 years old grand daughter. I know the general is innocent but the yahoo boy scammers are really good at deception. What does a British woman know about the US military? . I don’t even know about my own country’s military. It’s a real shame on the real General who is a nice sweet guy who is still looking after his troops in retirement. He is helping them with PTSD treatment and has a really good video on you tube. The video shows what a nice chap he is. It’s so evil t that the yahoo boys from Nigeria are targeting this wonderful person. They don’t know his true story either. He has two children Michael and Samantha. But most say his daughter is Laura (totally wrong). It has been the worst year of my life with all the bullying for money, all in the name of love of course. He chose me because I look richer than I am. My educational and work background makes me look more well off because I sing major works in the Cathedral several times per year with full orchestra. Also I have a brain tumour that caused a brain haemorrhage. I managed to get myself walking and re learn everything and was singing in my choir after six months. All major works like the Verdi and Brahms Requiem. They thought someone like me would be more grateful for the attention and they were right. I have been so unhappy this past year. Especially when I found out that the Nigerians scamming his profile are all under 30. I thought i was chatting to a man the same age as me. He had changed gmail profile on chat 7 times. I’m sure this was to make him untraceable with his IP address. I have kept all the chats all the gmail addresses. So that I can hand them in to the powers that be when I have gathered more info. Mainly I’m getting hold of the IME number if his phone too had in to the authorities. They will be able to hack and trace this criminal. I sent cate about getting my money back but he shorts be behind bars. The EFCC IN NIGERIA ARE CORRUPT AND THEY CHARGE YAHOO BOYS RANSOM FEES WHEN THEY ARE CAUGHT. IF paid they get them off to scam another day. Its about time our nations joined together to force Nigeria into talking real action instead of paying lip service to it. They take one money and throw out into the crowd at night clubs but ladies handbags and generally waste the money that I starved to scrape together. I hope this help everyone else.

Well, I must be his latest. We were even talking ‘forever soulmate love’! Had me convinced! He is on a peacekeeping mission in Syria and of course, can’t tell me a lot of details, nor can he emotionally discuss his late wife, and apparently his two sons died in an auto accident, then he does have a daughter going to school in Georgia. Her name is Laura. I don’t know where all those facts came from but he knows enough to be quite convincing. His English was impeccable. His Christianese was without reproach. One could only have assumed he was a really great man!! I feel sorry for the real William, because this man is taking advantage of very innocent people and for what reason? Money - I don’t know. He didn’t ask me for any, and as a matter of fact, he was going to buy ME a new car , ha ha! He did get his birthday wrong which I’m just discovering. He said he was born on February 27th. He’s supposedly coming home soon to Fort Bragg and we were going to meet up there. I feel like SUCH A GULLIBLE IDIOT! This world it’s a terrible place and I’ll be damn glad when the Lord takes me away. I’m just tired of it!!! You can’t trust anybody!!!

Guess I am the latest 'Victim' of William B Garrett. He approached me on F B Another person was impersonating him on F B. He had a hissy fit, blamed ISIS. The impersonator want me to buy him a Steamer Card, I contacted the FCC, Google and my Local Computer Tech Line. William was offended when I was standoffish with his initial Contact. I didn't believe him. I had General Milley, and other Generals contact me; even, Elon Musk. He tells me he is back in the Army, on a special Mission in Iraq. He is a Widower, Daughter Laura, and she is in School in GA for Mechanical Engineering. He is going to Paris, meet up with her his lovely daughter. Take the Train from Paris, to Switzerland, then to Italy. From there they go to Greece, his favorite place for 30 days R&R. I have been noting his mistakes, and not saying anything yet. I figure he will trip himself up soon. I know the Lt. General is a good guy. But whoever is impersonating him is a low Life! The last two days he has taken four hours plus of my Time. He says he has come out of retirement. He says he supports the Manchester City Basketball team! That is in England. Many times I note a mistake in what he is stating. He calls Florida a Country, not a State, twice. He asks me when I retired from the Military, twice! I remind him I was only in four years. There are Several holes in his conversation. I ask many questions and do not get a response. I kept thinking sooner or later this will all culminate in either a Serious Fail, or a Profound Win. I was flattered for sure, but I also coincidentally recently, saw several articles about Scammers! People being groomed as a "Pig for the Slaughter"! Alarms went off, after reading how people are slowly taken in, hence grooming, falling for the lines and it will end up for the Victim as Cast under their Spell! I was contacted today; I know better than to respond. I was contacted by another man with the same ranking but a different name, basic same mo & I contacted the US Army bCk east to let them know that "Someone is impersonating a Lt. General, said he lost his wife in a car Ccident & son is in boarding school in england & needed money for clothes! That he [Lt G] is stationed in Syria on a peace mission! Looking at coming home & retiring, looking for a wife to fill his time. I could see through it...was approached years ago by a man named "Joel Evan Embrodue" specialist surgeon [Doctor's Without Borders"?]...had a son in boarding school, needed money for a trip to the states for a wedding! Joel was "Kidnapped & left without id/military papers, etc. Left in Africa to fend for himself, seeking $$ to get to the states for his wedding to his true love...wedding all planned, he canceled the wedding.

Since April I have talked with William Garrett I know he is real but seems to have a lot of problems, I was told he lost his wife to cancer and he had a son Micheal in afgan! He talked some abt his childhood and it wasn't good, I developed a great relationship with this man, as a matter of fact I fell in love with him! He needed 500 hundred to talk to the UN and retire, because he was coming home to marry me and I was promised, a world where i had never been.He was coming to buy a home and i was going to be his Queen! Yes, I believed him, last night I started researching William Garrett and found him on someones facebook My heart broke his family members had been on that facebook, Congradulating William, he was now home with his wife and that woman went completely psycho, she responding to them he loves me, and we are getting married, he has no wife she said, and he better pay me back for the money he took from me! There was William with a response hello Beautiful, he also attached follow on my facebook and anywhere I go he follows!I meet with him in chat sometimes 3 hours and we were discussing sex, he took a pic of his penis and sent it to me, knowing what i now know with his Rank in the Military I could have sold that pic,he deleted it off chat! So today its 5:00 I am depressed, I haven't changed clothes still wearing my Pjs and trying to be thankful that I found this out! I hope my heart heals, I guess wedding plans have changed!!

I know the story. I was just chatting with a 4 Star General in Seoul by the name of Paul LaCamera- name is real, that's about all. Wanted me to help him with his portfolio too because of an attack at a warehouse and the DOD told him to get it out of the country. Because of what it contained it would have cost me $6,000 for shipping. THAT WAS A NO!! There was no mention of an attack that day or yesterday. When I went 'to the bank' for a loan...Haha he was blocked. Do they think we're that desperate?

Times are desperate, but the public is not. Because I was contacted regarding a particular Face book post (...and because I have not been consumed by the pandemic paranoia) also, because the number of people willing to risk a Trump/Biden rematch, is staggering, I responded. The candor of a response, if any, should readily clarify who this is. Lieutenant Generals don't whine. I will let you know.

His wife died of cancer, his daughter was in college at 16 to be a doctor. I however was not dumb enough to give him anything, as I do not have $$$ to give. Attempted to scam me about 3 weeks ago (Nov, 2023). I’ve had so many “four star generals” with friend requests: Wm Burke Garrett, Paul LaCamera, Gen Daniel Bartlett Allyn, just to name a few. Lol. Should I be flattered?? Remember, flattery is like perfume—It’s to be smelled—not swallowed. I follow “Frauds and Scammers” on FB. They are very good at exposing scammers.

He is now on Truth Social. There are a mess of them on TS. I don't consider TS a dating forum so I'm very suspicious of anyone messaging me with a lot of baloney on how beautiful I am, etc etc etc. My pic is not even posted nor my name but he says I have a beautiful name. Says he's retired but came out of retirement to go on assignment in Syria. My son is in the military army. He is not the first on TS for these scams & at first I was flattered but then a liar can't keep the lies straight & I take notes. So I'm alerting TS about all these guys. A big red flag for all of them is joining TS 2024 & having no posts or just retruthing others. I'm alerting Devin Nunes head of TS. I don't believe FB cares. Zuckerberg is too busy cheating in elections & censoring Patriots.

This same person Just reached out to me. He told me he lost his Wife and had a daughter in college in VA. Said he was overseas and had hard time getting on FB. But I had seen the same Photo on a Military site from long ago and knew at once He was going to become the biggest scammer yet. He wrote me on one of my Wreaths Across America article. I also had one claiming to be a Marine General.. Problem was I knew the real General. A so call Chaplain... they keep coming and coming... No one cares...Not even the Military.

I began chatting with a William Garrett in May 2024. Then supposedly emails & other military information was hacked. thought he had created a new account on FB & i chatted with that Garrett - until he tried to scam me. About 2 months later, I began getting emails using the old email used in May. So far no request for any $ - but i heard scammers can make money just by chatting. And then just 2 days ago, i recd friend requests from 2 other Garretts - one has requested help to return to the USA because his bank account is frozen - That one is about to be deleted. The 2nd Garrett is very upset that I doubt him to be the real Garrett - so he is about to be deleted also. The very 1st Garrett will also be gone in a day or so. i want to see what he has to say. I try to keep records. AND I know not to send any money. I do want more uptodate info on General William Burke Garrett III so I can post on FB & Instagram to warn other women.
